Design Architect of the World War II Memorial
Friedrich St.Florian was born in Graz, Austria, on December 21, 1932. "After earning his architecture degree from the Technische Universität Graz in 1960, Friedrich came to the United States on a Fulbright Fellowship to pursue a Master’s in Architecture at Columbia University. He later became a proud and patriotic American citizen." (Source: Friends of the National World War II Memorial website.)
